Jamie Oliver’s honey and ginger chicken wings are chicken wings cooked until crisp and coated in a sweet, gingery glaze that caramelizes during cooking.
Optional additions:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). A high temperature helps achieve crispy skin while allowing the glaze to caramelize.
In a bowl, mix honey, grated ginger, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Stir well until fully combined.
Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss until evenly coated. Let them sit for at least 10–15 minutes to absorb flavor.
Place the wings on a lined baking tray in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding so they roast properly.
Bake for 25–30 minutes, turning halfway through. The wings should become golden and slightly crisp.
Brush or toss the wings with extra marinade or glaze in the final 5 minutes of cooking for a sticky finish.
Remove from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds or fresh herbs if desired. Serve immediately.
